I like beautiful things, which is why I stare at myself in the mirror well-nigh of the day, petting my face and murmuring sonnets in my mirror ear.
Along with liking cute things comes a demand to live with beautiful things and a need to create beautiful spaces in my abode. I'm not even talking setting up little areas of treasured tchotchkes- I mean the more subtle things that happen when your business firm starts to come together with elements that reflect your style.
The uncomplicated colors, shades, patterns that happen because of what you fill up your business firm with all come into play here.
During the six years of renting a business firm and not really wanting to put much into it, I could feel my poor piddling pattern sense withering abroad.
A stronger person would take turned to Apartment Therapy and done up their temporary surroundings in a temporarily cute style, and we did to an extent, merely we also felt the demand – subconsciously- to keep the house temporary feeling then we had something to fight against.
It'south scary later on losing a home to let yourself be comfortable in a new business firm, simply we are settling in and rediscovering the excitement of working together to design our infinite. It's fun! I love this collaboration between Christian and me because we are both excited about home design, and we have the same taste. Like, exactly the same sense of taste. Information technology's creepy.
I have started to notice footling things around our abode that fill my middle with joy and brand me feel at home for lack of a better phrase.
How freaking powerful our surroundings are to our mental well-being, eh? What practice you love looking at in your domicile? What exercise you run into on a daily basis that possibly y'all consciously notice only sometimes, but consistently feeds your soul?
I'chiliad noticing so much more than now when I'1000 out and about- trying to store away little bits of visual information to recreate at habitation. My love for Pinterest has been rekindled, and there's no shortage of astonishing home ideas there. I guess we all know that already.
Anyway, I'm adding more to my Home boards on Pinterest if you care to follow along- my 2 favorites are Home: Interior and Abode: Elements, which really embodies what I'm trying to explain here- home becomes home when the elements involved perfectly reflect who you are.
What do you think?
